This book discusses ways a wife and husband can learn to communicate better to enable the marriage to grow. If used, the concepts and suggestions also help the individuals to grow closer to God as well as each other. Since men and women are so different, it’s a good thing to know and practice effective communication techniques especially with those that we are to love and cherish. Great book! I will be sharing this book with my husband and practicing what I learned with and on him!
The Language of Love & Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs
October 6, 2011Called to Worship by Vernon M. Whaley
October 31, 2009Called to Worship by Vernon M. Whaley is a very easy book to read. It has a lot of Biblical history in it and the author explains how worship was conducted then and how it affects worship and how it should be conducted now. Worship is individual as well as corporate and we, as God’s people, need to worship both ways. Muscial types do not matter – God created all types. Expressiveness doesn’t matter – We need to worship the way we are comfortable with because God made us the way we are! Everyone should read this book!
What’s He REALLY Thinking? By Paula Rinehart
August 25, 2009What’s He Really Thinking is a clear and consise book written about men and how they think. Paula often gives examples of real people and how women are learning how the men in their lives are thinking and how they are using this knowledge to understand them and become closer to them.
By reading this book I have learned that the men around me are not just different people, they also think completely differently than I do. Knowing this allows me to be able to what for my own reactions to their behavior. The main point I liked the most is to keep communications open with the men in our lives. If we don’t speak about what we’re thinking about the other people in our lives will never know what we are thinking. Miscommunication occurs so easily so we have to work at communicating with loved ones. Paula Rinehart stresses this point consistently throughout. What a wonderful read and so helpful! Marlana
